This page will be updated every 3-4 days with Canola, Durum and Lentil insect maps throughout our critical Insect Pressure windows over the next 5 weeks.
Below is our current Canola map based on only a few fields scouted, as fields are just beginning to bloom. Even though these early fields averaged just 3% Bloom, we counted near threshold levels of Cabbage Seedpod Weevil and a significant population of Diamondback Moth. No significant levels of Lygus Bug, Bertha Armyworm, or Grasshopper were reported, but based on this much Seedpod Weevil and Diamondback pressure at such an early stage we expect above threshold levels to persist through much of our geography. Given the building Seedpod Weevil population, this was not unexpected, but we were mildly surprised by the Diamondbacks, just as we have been more years than not over the last 10 years.
